Built from experience in the field
Community Advisory Group was created around a simple idea: community boards make better decisions when they have reliable, independent information about what is actually happening throughout the properties they serve.
CAG provides consistent field visibility between meetings—helping boards and management teams identify developing concerns, maintain continuity on unresolved issues, and make informed decisions about the communities entrusted to them.
THE VISIBILITY GAP
Board meetings provide snapshots in time. Conditions throughout a community continue to develop between those meetings.
Management coordinates the work. Vendors perform the work. Boards make the decisions.
CAG helps close that gap by maintaining consistent visibility in the field.
THE VALUE OF CONTINUITY
Consistent field observations create a record that helps boards identify recurring concerns, track unresolved issues, and verify apparent corrections.
EXPERIENCE BEHIND CAG
Experience in the field shaped CAG
Community Advisory Group brings together hands-on community field experience, landscape and grounds knowledge, operational experience, and a practical understanding of the responsibilities boards carry when managing community assets and resources.
CAG grew from seeing firsthand how difficult it can be for volunteer board members to stay on top of conditions across an entire community. A board may be responsible for landscaping, irrigation systems, stormwater facilities, conservation areas, playgrounds, amenities, common areas, utilities, and numerous other assets—all while relying on multiple professionals and service providers and meeting only periodically.
Effective field review often means looking beyond whether something simply appears maintained. An unexpected increase in water use may warrant reviewing irrigation controller settings or observing a water meter when the system should not be operating. Continued flow could indicate a leak or other condition requiring investigation. Recurring landscape symptoms may point toward an irrigation concern. A maintenance issue that appears corrected may warrant verification during the next inspection.
That attention to detail is central to CAG's approach. The goal is not to replace community management or second-guess the professionals serving a community. It is to provide another layer of consistent, independent field insight, connecting observations over time and helping boards and management teams identify conditions that deserve further attention.
"Boards are handed a lot of responsibility and not a lot of time to see what's actually happening on the ground. I've seen that gap from every side — as a resident, a district employee, and a vendor. That's why I started CAG: to give boards real information, straight from the field, so they can make decisions with confidence."

LET’S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK
Request a Community Assessment
Every community is different. Tell us a little about your property, current management structure, and the areas where your board would like greater visibility.
CAG will review your needs and recommend a field inspection and reporting approach tailored to your community. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to keeping a community informed.
